Queen's 90th Birthday Beacon




A goodly number of people form Priddy and beyond gathered at Deer Leap on Thursday 21st April for the lighting of the Queen's 90th Birthday Beacon.  It may have been a chilly evening but there was a warm Priddy community spirit as ever.


As dusk fell, the Beacon was lit

Friendly twenty / twenty marches against teams from neighbouring villages on Wednesday nights from 6:00pm

Clean for the Queen - 5th March

Fifteen people (two not shown in the photograph) gathered on the Green on Saturday morning.  One of their number was the MP for Wells, James Heappey.  




 

The New Inn 

The New Inn has been sold to Mr Russell Sage, who grew up locally.  Mr Sage runs an Interior Design Company and has undertaken many projects in the hospitality sector, examples of what his company does at

Mr Sage has started work but is still very keen to get local advice and guidance to steer his plans.  He says that he hopes everyone will be patient as the wait will be worth it!

Priddy Group Oil Buying

 

As part of a Priddy Parish Council initiative we have now delivered many tanker loads home heating oil to Priddy residents and have been able to demonstrate some good cost savings.
